Terrance S. Carter, B.A., LL.B., is Managing Partner of Carters Professional Corporation, one of Canadas leading law firms specializing in charity and not-for-profit law. A recognized authority in the sector, he is a Past Chair of the Charity and Not-for-Profit Sections of both the Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations. Mr. Carter is a registered Trade Mark Agent and has been appointed by the Minister of National Revenue to the Charities Advisory Committee of the Canada Revenue Agency. He writes frequently on charities law and is the co-author of Branding & Trade-Marks Handbook for Charitable and Not-for-Profit Organizations, published by LexisNexis Canada Inc. Adam Parachin, B.A., LL.B., LL.M., is a law professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Ontario. He holds law degrees from both the Osgoode Hall Law School and the University of Toronto. His principal areas of teaching and research include charities, trusts, estates and property.
